Tramacastilla de Tena
. Tramacastilla de Tena. Located at 1.224 meters of altitude,
in the valley of Tena,
in Pyrenees of Aragon,
it is a small typical mountain town that rests in a sunny
slope that dominates the bottom of the valley. Between large
houses of family of noble bearing, a small Romanic church
of XII century was discovered. Inside it, there is an excellent
Renaissance altarpiece of century XVI dedicated to San Martin.
Going up to France and to the left, Tramacastilla
de Tena is hidden between pines, oak woods
and meadows. The landscape seen from the Cabezos of Santa
Marina and Sandurico is matchless. In the horizon, arrogant
and brave, Peña Telera and Peña Blanca rise,
and on their base is located the marsh of Búbal.
Most of the route from Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao and San
Sebastian is crossed by freeways or highways. The roads of
the valley assure comfortable access to any village of Valley
de Tena and of course, also to Tramacastilla
de Tena.
